Overall purpose of role You will be a senior developer on our innovative Contact Centre applications at the forefront of the bank's contact with its customers, and the extensive features they support. We have an ethos of building not just the applications but the supporting frameworks in-house. This includes the core application framework and SDK and integration test tools. As well as hands-on coding, you'll have tech lead responsibilities on developments, making key design and implementation decisions and showing the way in developing high quality solutions for customers and colleagues. You'll also help drive continual improvement in our ways of working to help us deliver quicker and better. Person Specification Essential You will be an excellent coder. Core Java is our primary language, but we are primarily interested in great developers regardless of which languages they have previously used, and thus are interested in applicants with other language experience tooYour excellent coding skills will include creating code that is a joy to maintain and enhance. About Contact Centre Transaction Cycle The Contact Centre Transaction Cycle is responsible for proving technical solutions to support the Contact Centre operations globally About Customer Contact Team As a member of the Customer Contact team you will be joining a dynamic group that look after the end to end delivery of technology across the entire Barclays Contact Centre estate. We architect, build, develop and release software and infrastructure for core voice platforms, speech and IVR applications and other customer interaction channels (e.g. Chat, Video) to give our customers and agents a consistent cross channel experience.
