Medical Language Assistants - Full Time and Part Time (requisition #1586) THIS IS A REMOTE POSITION. CANDIDATES MUST LIVE IN A STATE WHERE WBD HAS US OFFICES. Responsible for transcribing medical records into a database to create an accurate medical chronology. Responsible for transcribing medical records into deposition outlines and executive summaries. Perform daily quality control functions on all entries to database and reports generated from a database, to meet specific product goal expectation criteria as determined by Medical Language Supervisor. Work on special projects as needed. Willingness to work after normal business hours, sometimes including weekends or holidays. Demonstration of support for management decisions through conduct, as well as written and verbal communication is expected. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from direct reports, peers, and management. Must be comfortable with ambiguity, deadline pressures, and able to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment. Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills are also a must. The incumbent must have a certificate, diploma or degree in a field related to Medical Language or at least three years of experience in a hospital or medical office environment performing medical transcription duties. The incumbent must also possess strong medical language and word processing skills, as well as familiarity with data entry into a database, and be able to accurately type forty (40) words per minute.
